**Brand:** FreelancerPackZA · **Publisher:** J Live Solutions (teal/navy)
**Price (storefront):** R297 once-off
**Stack:** Plain HTML/CSS + Markdown. Optional Node script to regenerate printable HTML.

## Quick start (local)

```bash
# Optional: regenerate printable HTML from Markdown
node scripts/md-to-html.js
# Serve the repo (any static server)
npx --yes serve -l 3847 .
# Open http://127.0.0.1:3847/storefront/
```

Or open `storefront/index.html` directly in a browser (template links still work).

---

## What’s in the pack

| # | File | Formats |
|---|------|---------|
| 01 | Quote template (ZAR, VAT-optional, sole prop / company) | `pack/markdown/` · `pack/html/` |
| 02 | Invoice + remittance note | same |
| 03 | Client onboarding checklist | same |
| 04 | Scope-change email scripts | same |
| 05 | Late-payment follow-up (3 emails) | same |

| 07 | Pricing one-pager worksheet | same |

Printable HTML uses `pack/css/print.css`. In the browser: **Print → Save as PDF**.

---

## Storefront

- Landing page: [`storefront/index.html`](storefront/index.html)
- Shows what’s inside, **R297** once-off, FAQ, email/WhatsApp CTA placeholders
- Buy button is a **payment placeholder** (no live PayFast/Gumroad keys)

**Host later on:** a path or subdomain of `jlivesolutions.co.za` once that site is ready.
Do **not** register a new domain for this product. No paid APIs required.

---

## How Rene sells it (ops playbook)

### 1. Package the download

1. Zip `pack/` (include `markdown/`, `html/`, `css/`) plus `LICENSE`.
2. Name it e.g. `FreelancerPackZA-v1.zip`.
3. Keep the zip in a private drive folder; only share after payment.

### 2. Host the storefront (no new domain)

- **TODO:** Deploy `storefront/` to `jlivesolutions.co.za/freelancerpackza/` **or** `pack.jlivesolutions.co.za` when DNS/site is fixed.
- Point “Preview a template” links at the hosted `pack/html/` paths.
- Update email / WhatsApp placeholders in `storefront/index.html` to real contacts.

### 3. Payments — PayFast (South Africa) — TODO, no spend yet

1. **TODO:** Create / use existing PayFast account (when ready to go live).
2. **TODO:** Create a once-off payment link or custom integration for **R297**.
3. **TODO:** Replace the storefront `#payment-placeholder` / Buy button with the PayFast checkout URL or form.
4. **TODO:** On payment notification, email the zip (manual is fine at low volume) or use PayFast’s digital delivery if enabled.
5. Keep merchant keys out of this repo — use env/hosting secrets only.

### 4. Payments — Gumroad alternative — TODO

1. **TODO:** Create a Gumroad product “FreelancerPackZA” priced ≈ R297 (or USD equivalent).
2. **TODO:** Upload the zip as the digital asset.
3. **TODO:** Paste the Gumroad buy URL into the storefront CTA.
4. No need for both PayFast and Gumroad on day one — pick one.

### 5. Manual sales (works today, zero integration)

1. Buyer emails / WhatsApps using storefront CTAs.
2. Send EFT details + reference `FPZA-[name]`.
3. On POP, send the zip + licence reminder.
4. Log sale date, amount, buyer contact in a simple sheet.

### 6. Fulfilment checklist

- [ ] POP / platform receipt saved
- [ ] Zip sent from a stable link or email attachment
- [ ] Buyer told: Print HTML → Save as PDF; edit Markdown freely
- [ ] Reminder: not tax/legal advice; personal commercial use only

---

## Licence

See [`LICENSE`](LICENSE). Buyers get **personal commercial use** for their own practice. No reselling the pack.

---

## Brand notes

- Name: **FreelancerPackZA**
- Parent: **J Live Solutions**
- Look: neutral **teal + navy** — not Interactive Tech branding
- Copy: speed to first rand, SA-specific (ZAR, VAT optional, SARS general info)

---

## Regenerating HTML

```bash
node scripts/md-to-html.js
```

Edits to Markdown in `pack/markdown/` are the source of truth; re-run the script before shipping a new zip.
